Roof tent for INEOS Grenadier

The new Grenadier is, for good reason, one of the hottest off-road vehicles on the market. Instantly transform your INEOS Grenadier Fieldmaster or Trailmaster into a camper with a mobile sleeping area on the roof by mounting the appropriate roof tent on the roof rack.

Two-person roof tent for Grenadier

If you use your INEOS Grenadier as an overlanding vehicle and travel with two people, a roof top tent with a sleeping area of 140 cm or 165 cm is the ideal choice. This size offers enough space for two adults. In these widths, both softshell roof top tents and hardshell roof top tents are available.

A softshell roof top tent for the INEOS Grenadier generally offers more interior space. On the other hand, a hardshell roof top tent can be set up and packed away much faster. Depending on your priorities, you should choose the type of roof top tent that best suits your adventures.

INEOS Grenadier roof load information

The roof load specified by INEOS for the Grenadier is a maximum of 150 kg. This means that your roof rack and the roof top tent mounted on it must not exceed a total weight of 150 kg. A softshell roof top tent weighs between 50 and 95 kg depending on the sleeping area, while a hardshell roof top tent with a width of 140 cm or 165 cm weighs between 70 and 85 kg.

Depending on the weight of your roof rack, the high roof load capacity of 150 kg makes all roof top tent sizes suitable for the INEOS Grenadier.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you mount a roof tent on the INEOS Grenadier?

To mount a rooftop tent on the Grenadier, you will definitely need roof racks. These can be either commercially available crossbars or a Grenadier roof rack platform. The rooftop tent is then bolted onto the crossbars of the racks with eight screws and four counter plates. Installing the rooftop tent on the Grenadier takes approximately one hour.

Pop-top tent or hard-shell roof tent for Grenadier?

In principle, both types of roof tents can be mounted on the roof rack. Ultimately, it depends on your needs and priorities. Do you stay in one place for an extended period, or do you change sleeping locations daily? Do you want a lot of space in the roof tent, or is a quick setup more important to you? These questions will help you decide which roof tent is best for your Grenadier.

Can you also mount an awning on the Grenadier?

Yes, there are suitable car awnings that you can mount in addition to the roof tent. The awning is also bolted to the roof racks. There are various options, such as a free-standing 2 x 2 m awning or a 270-degree awning, which casts shade all around the vehicle.
